We’ve added four new exciting materials to our range.
- Cotton Touch Paper: made with 5% cotton to give a textured feel. High-strength making them great for the fridge or ice bucket.
- Grass Paper: An environmentally friendly material which is biodegradable and made using 30% grass fibres and uses 20% less Co2 compared to normal paper from pulp.
- Hemp Paper: Give a rustic effect to your products with this material composed of 50% hemp fibres visible to the naked eye. Ideal for highlighting the natural side of your creations.
- Ocean Bound - Sustainable White Film: This highly ECO beneficial material is a PP film which is made from chemically recycled plastic collected from beaches, stopping it from entering the sea and becoming a pollutant.
Why buy roll labels? This technique allows manual or automatic machine application - giving you options. Whether you are a business with a need for quick labelling or an individual for whom the manual application is sufficient, self-adhesive labels on rolls will be ideal.
Are you wondering what design or colour you can print? All colours are possible. When you use our printing service, we add a white underprint for clear/transparent, silver, and grass paper sticker materials. This helps your colours stand out in the final print. Your labels will look more vibrant than those printed at home.

Machine Applied
If you use a machine to apply your labels, for example for bottles, food products or cosmetics, you need them to be printed on rolls. You can choose the winding direction from 8 options and the core size from 3 options.
The winding direction
You can choose:
- an outside wound direction: the labels are printed on the outer side and visible without unrolling the roll.
- an inside wound direction: the labels are then printed on the inside and visible only when you unroll the roll.
You can then choose the orientation of the label on the roll:
- Bottom-Edge Leading: Bottom of your design visible first
- Top-Edge Leading: Top of your design visible first
- Left-Edge Leading: Left side of your design visible first
- Right-Edge Leading: Right side of your design visible first
This information can be found in the technical specifications of your machine. Contact the manufacturer if you have any doubts.
Core Size
The core size is the inner diameter of the cardboard roll that holds the label roll. It is important to choose the diameter that matches the technical characteristics of your machine.
We offer 3 sizes of core:
- 76 mm (standard)
- 40 mm (with additional cost)
- 25 mm (with additional cost)
The width of the roll depends only on the size of your labels.
Hand Applied
If you manually apply your self-adhesive labels to your products and packaging, you can choose between sheet labels and roll labels.
To be more efficient when applying your stickers in rolls, you can use a dispenser. Your roll of labels is thus held and easier to handle: no need to lift and put it back between each application.
Dispensers are available to buy online, or you can make your own with a simple wooden, plastic, or metal bar held on each side.
Hand Applied Specification:
- Winding direction: outside wound
- Label orientation: left-edge leading
- Core diameter: 76mm

The advantages of sticker rolls
Adhesive labels on rolls have many advantages:
- Simple to use: They are more straightforward to separate from their backing than sheet labels, as we eliminate the surplus material surrounding your labels.
- Easy to store: The rolls can be neatly piled in a closet or storage area with the labels in sight, allowing you to quickly select the required model.
- Economical for large quantities: manufacturing in rolls requires more preparation than in sheets, but once the machine is started, it is faster. Sheets are therefore more suitable for small quantities, and rolls for large quantities. What is a large quantity? Around 2000 labels for a 40 mm round format but from 500 labels for large formats.

Frequently asked questions about roll labels
Roll labels are just labels but rather than supplied on the flat sheets like you may expect, they come wound up on a roll, meaning you get a lot of labels which can be stored very easily.
We take a roll big enough to house the size of label selected. We then unwind the label as it goes through the printing process and re-wind up the roll at the other end so you receive a nice neat and tidy roll.
- Fast and efficient labelling of your products by hand or machine
The winding direction is the direction in which the labels run relative to the roll. The labels can be positioned towards the inside or outside of the roll, with four possible orientations for each option.
It is important to choose the winding direction required by your labeling machine. You will find this information in the technical specifications provided by the manufacturers. If you have any doubts, we advise you to contact them.
The core is the cardboard roll that holds the paper or plastic roll on which the labels are stuck.
The standard core size of our custom roll labels is 76mm diameter but you can also choose a diameter of 40mm or 25mm.
You can use labels on a roll in the same way you would any sort of labels, whether they are single cut stickers or on a sheet. You can peel and stick them by hand or even use the roll as part of an automated label application process!
